With 4 weeks prior to Minex 2010 the agenda of the 6th Russian and CIS Mining & Exploration forum is developing fast with the leadership talks confirmed from many key industry experts and mining companies including Polyus Gold, Polymetal, Petropavlovsk, Atomredmetzoloto, MBC Corporation, Uralsky Nickel, and many others. Key session at Minex 2010 - Joint Russian GKZ – CRIRSCO session on mineral reserves/resources standards

Minex 2010 forum agenda will include a session on resource and reserve reporting. Chaired by Dr Mike Armitage, the Chairman of SRK’s practices in the UK and Russia, it will feature a presentation by the GKZ’s Grigoriy Malukhin unveiling the much awaited guideline document to enable Russian Resource estimates to be reported using the widely accepted CRIRSCO international reporting template, and will include a presentation by CRIRSCO highlighting its current initiatives for bringing more countries into the CRIRSCO resource reporting family. Dr Steve Henley will make a presentation on changes to the resource and reserve reporting standards in Europe which will be followed by talks from individual Russian mining companies regarding their experiences in using the various guidelines that currently exist.

30 September - 4th Russian Mining Excellence Award and Gala Dinner (The ultimate networking event of the Russian Mining Calendar of 2010!)

The Gala dinner is organised at Russia’s oldest (est. 1826) and most celebrated historic restaurant “Yar” whose famous visitors amongst many included Emperor Nikolay Romanov, poet Alexander Pushkin, writers Anton Chekhov, Leo Tolstoy, Maxim Gorky and politicians such as Josef Stalin, Leonid Brezhnev, Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi, and the King of Spain Juan Carlos. The dinner will include pre-dinner drinks party in “A-la Russia” style, “Russian Mining Excellence award nomination ceremony” and spectacular “Faberge” Show.
